André Provost, Proud founder of Provalcid inc
1970
In 1970, the Provost family built the first grain silos of a grain conditioning center serving agricultural producers in the region. The ever-increasing demand made expansion necessary. In 1984 Provalcid Inc was formed, with a capacity of 5,000 metric tons.
1985
Our mission at the time was to provide a complete service to the producers from the seed to the marketing of their crops. The first international exports started in 1985 with the sale of buckwheat to Japan.
1990
By the early 1990s, Provalcid was a leading exporter. The US market helped propel sales and Provalcid Inc. became a recognized grain buyer across Canada.
2000
The 2000s marked Provalcid's turn towards organic products. An ever-increasing demand led the company to import various organic grains from all over the world. International logistics expertise becomes necessary for the smooth operation of Provalcid Inc.
2014
In 2014, the reins of the company were passed to the third generation. The international market and above all, the market for organic products, become the heart of daily operations, Provalcid Inc. became Provalcid International Inc. This change of identity allows the company to position itself favorably in a competitive and constantly changing market. Thanks to experience acquired over 35 years, Provalcid International can guarantee more than ever to its customers a solid expertise both in terms of marketing and logistics, all headed by a team dedicated to their satisfaction.
